Oh Navy blue, we adore you. Your deep, rich hue is classic, timeless, and pairs beautifully with oh-so-many color palettes!
Today we thought we’d take a few minutes to inspire you all with some of our favorite navy inspirations, color combinations, and overall goodness!
Navy is a great neutral, and serves as a perfect foundation color for so many combinations. There’s one color combo that our couple’s just can’t seem to get enough of…. can you guess what it is? Well, if you guessed navy & burgundy then congratulations - you are right!!! We love it paired with a touch of gold, like in our best selling burgundy and navy laser cut invitation suite.
The Navy, Burgundy and Gold color trend has held strong for a while now, and it’s easy to see why - it’s bold, sophisticated, romantic and playful, all in one!
Another really popular color pairing for navy has been blush, especially with a beautiful gold accent (that gold, we all love it!).
Sometimes a couple will choose to let navy stand on it’s own, and pair with classics like ivory, champagne and subtle tones of grey and pale greens, creating a traditional and timeless look that will never go out of style.
The fun doesn’t stop there though - we really love using navy in other, unexpected color combinations. Paired with mint green and muted pastels, it makes a stunning spring time look, and when paired with dusty blue and burgundy… well, let’s just say it makes our hearts flutter!
Choosing Navy for your big day? Let us bring in this glorious shade in your other paper needs as well - like rehearsal dinner invitations and after party invites! Dallas’ Navy -Indigo color palette was perfect as a watercolor wash on her weekend event invitations.
Navy doesn’t have to stop with your invitations either - it’s a favorite of ours to bring into your reception stationery as well. From menus and programs, to seating charts, place cards and coasters, navy is an unstoppable color choice!
Seating Charts and other large reception signage make a bold statement in navy!
Navy also shines in place cards, table numbers, coasters and other reception paper goods!
No matter what you decide to pair it with, if navy is your hue, we got you boo! (sorry, couldn’t resist!)
XOXO, Team Funky Olive
